Next is “Slonimsky’s Earbox” by post-minimalist composer John Adams, an orchestral work based on Stravinsky’s “Song of the Nightingale” that fuses standard minimalist techniques with more complex minimalist compositional methods. It was dedicated to the Russian-American music critic Nicholas Slonimsky.
