Second is the astonishing group choreography by the dance company La Fla dels Baus. La Fla dels Baus was founded in 1979. In 1992, they choreographed the opening ceremony of the Barcelona Olympics, which brought them worldwide recognition. In this production of *Das Rheingold*, too, the audience is amazed by the expressions born from the connections between people, as seen in the album cover photo. In many ways, this is a production at the cutting edge of contemporary theater. Combined with Metta’s conducting and a cast of today’s leading Wagnerian singers—including Uusitalo, Salminen, Larsson, Daszak, and Siegel—this results in an exceptionally rich production of *Das Rheingold*.
