His first album, *Dreams and Fantasies* (PDCD34193), and his second album, *Soft Loud* (PDCD34213), both released by Scotland’s Delphian, were consecutively nominated for the BBC Music Magazine Awards; furthermore, “Soft Loud”—an exceptionally ambitious project combining works for acoustic and electric guitar—was selected for the newly established “Concept Album Award” at the UK Gramophone Awards, making his name known around the world.\n\nHis highly anticipated third album is a collection of works by J.S. Bach, which he is currently focusing his efforts on. Although it is unclear for which instruments they were originally written, three works—the “Suite for Lute in E minor (No. 1),” the “Partita in B minor (Lute Suite No. 2),” and “Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro in E-flat Major”—which, although it is unclear for which instruments they were originally written, have become staples of the modern guitarist’s repertoire—are presented here with a soft, soothing guitar tone. The album’s subtitle, “For Lute or Harpsichord (pour laluthocembal),” is taken from a note written in the manuscript of BWV 998.\n\n\u003csean sibe\u003e\nBorn in Edinburgh in 1992 to a British father and a Japanese mother, Sean Sibe studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and under Paolo Pegolaro in Italy, from whom he drew great inspiration. In 2012, he became the first guitarist to be selected for the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme and the only guitar soloist to receive a Borlett-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.
