This new recording features works by Gabriel Jackson, a British composer born in the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda who, alongside John Rutter and Bob Chilcott, is highly popular in the Japanese choral world. “The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ” is based on a poem by the British poet and playwright T.S. Eliot—himself a Merton College alumnus—which weaves together passages from the Bible, English poetry, and Latin hymns. Please look forward to this new work by Gabriel Jackson, performed by Benjamin Nicholas—who has collaborated with Gabriel Jackson for many years—and the Merton College Choir.
