Martin Achreiner, who has sung in several Glass operas, including his breakthrough role as Kepler, the title role in a 2009 Glass opera, has quickly become a Glass specialist. Namekawa is one of the outstanding artists currently working with Philip Glass; he was selected by Glass in 2014 to be the first pianist to record Glass' Complete Piano Etudes. The album concludes with \"Three Songs for Baritone and Piano,\" a collection of songs from two sources: the 1989 opera \"Hydrogen Jukebox,\" which Glass produced with Allen Ginsberg, and the multimedia opera \"Monsters of Grace\" with director Robert Wilson. Three Songs\" is included in the collection.
