After the war, he returned to his homeland of Vienna, and this live recording captures his performance with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Musikverein on January 23, 1954.\nThis recording of works by Mahler and Dukas was made by Rot-Weiß-Rot Radio—the predecessor of ORF—as broadcast material.
