Since the 1990s, he has been creating a unique sonic landscape by blending elements of IDM and krautrock, and is also active as part of MICROSTORIA with MARKUSPOPP and under his solo moniker, LITHOPS. Deeply involved in contemporary art and academia, he has taught at MIT and served as artistic director of the Dutch electronic music studio STEIM, while continuing to pursue genre-transcending sonic experiments through exhibitions at numerous art festivals.\nThis 2026 work began as electronic music created to celebrate a friend’s birthday in 2012 and has undergone a transformation over the course of more than a decade. Following an improvised session at the studio of BONIVER (JUSTINVERNON) and a spatial sound performance at the 2021 Ural Industrial Biennale, the project culminated in a final mix featuring ANDITOMA, MOUSEONMARS’s partner.
