The music of this new duo is highly acclaimed for the concentration and tension with which they brought out the best in strings, winds, and percussion to respond to Gergiev's fiery and skilled conducting, which is deeply passionate and dense. In \"Symphonies Nos. 1 \u0026amp; 3,\" which was recorded and released the previous year, \"a groundbreaking interpretation that breaks free from Bruckner's traditional mysticism and religiosity and combines simple beauty and drive. The recording is also highly acclaimed in terms of performance and recording, with \"a perfect balance of church reverberation and individual instruments, and no muddiness at all. The recording was handled by Stephan Reh, a highly acclaimed engineer for labels such as CPO and BIS. Mastering was done by Christoph Stickel, an engineer who has been involved with Keith Jarrett's various works, with new mastering under the supervision of ECM.In 1869, three years after the composition of the First Symphony, Bruckner completed the D minor Symphony, which was originally intended to be the Second Symphony. However, whether he was unsatisfied with the degree of completion or not, he sealed it without numbering it. This is the work that is now known as \"No. 0. However, he composed \"Symphony No. 2 in C minor\" again in 1872. Unfortunately, this work is not so popular among Bruckner's symphonies, but it is an attractive symphony with beautiful melodies appearing one after another. The performance is solid in the key points and the succession of melodies is unified by the meaningful assembly of strings and winds.
