This work, which matches the artistry of its dedicatee, Oistrakh, in both its grand scale and spiritual depth, is also known as one of the most technically demanding pieces ever composed. The young maestro Gringolts delivers a soulful and passionate performance of this work, along with two piano trios. Ilya Gringolts rose to international fame at the age of just 16 when he won the Paganini International Violin Competition.
