However, the \"Piano Concerto No. 3\" on this album has a rather intense tone, and the first movement is a very neoclassical work with a tremendous dialogue between the piano and the orchestra. Nevertheless, after an unsettling second movement, the third movement, in which the percussion instruments play a major role, has a jazz-like and Papandopoulos-like quality. The piece was lost for a time, but was restored by a Croatian pianist about 10 years ago. The Violin Concerto, composed during World War II, is a rich-sounding piece written in the late Romantic style. With two virtuoso soloists, the Rijeka Opera Symphony Orchestra, Papandopoulo's home country, will perform the piece.
