Having gained experience through concerts and recordings of art songs and church music, she is now, 20 years later, performing opera with renewed joy at major opera houses in Europe and the United States. Her opera debut came in 1989 with the Finnish National Opera’s production of *La Bohème*, in which she sang the role of Mimi. In 1993, she appeared as Pamina in *The Magic Flute* at the Vienna State Opera, and in 2002, she released a collection of arias following *ODE1043\/ODE698*. I have sung arias by Tatiana, Michaela, Marguerite, Liu, Amelia, and Desdemona. All of these are part of Isokoski’s repertoire. Mikko Franck, who conducts the Helsinki Philharmonic, currently serves as Artistic Director and General Music Director of the Finnish National Opera.
