Named after \"Mount Parnassus,\" the home of the muse of Greek mythology, the Trio Parnassus was founded in 1982. After winning the first prize at the Colmar International Chamber Music Competition, MDG made their debut recording in 1986.The program featured piano trios by Arensky and Smetana, released on LP vinyl. A year later, they recorded the newly discovered Debussy Piano Trio. After a steady stream of recordings, their next request was Hummel. Producer Doublinghouse recalls, \"Hummel was the first to record the Beethoven Trio, and he was the first to record the Beethoven Trio. Hummel had the image of being a modest composer sandwiched between the two great masters, Beethoven and Mozart,\" recalls producer Dubbelinghaus. But in 1987, when the scores for Hummel's seven piano trios had just been published, we decided it would make sense to record the complete works for MDG. The recording of the complete works here marked the beginning of Trio Parnassus' Composer Complete Recording Series.\n\nThe recording took place at the historic riding stables in Neumarkt, Bavaria, where they recorded Debussy. Hummel's piano trios are written in a classical style in his early years, but in his later works, one can sense a style that foreshadows the Romantic period, and this complete set of Hummel's piano trios convinces us that he was an important figure in bridging the gap from the Classical to the Romantic period.\n\n\n\n(King International)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Md+G","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50163625918753,"sku":"760623232720","price":3135.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/760623232720.jpg?v=1723532024","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/760623232720","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
