Ariosti was himself a viola d'amore player and left many excellent works for this instrument. His \"Stockholm Sonata\" was discovered in Stockholm from a manuscript transcription by the composer Johan Helmig Luhmann, who is also known as the Swedish Handel. This collection of sonatas, which demonstrates Ariosti's excellent compositional technique, is kept in the library of the Royal Swedish Academy in Stockholm. Giorgia Veneziano, viola d'amore, is a musician born in Messina and studied at the Corelli Conservatory there. She is a talented player who is also a member of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and one of the founding members of the Wiener Kammersymphonie.
