She went on to perform at the Vienna State Opera, the Bayreuth Festival, the Bavarian State Opera, La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Royal Opera in Ventgården, becoming a respected and beloved figure as Sweden’s most internationally renowned soprano. The year 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of her birth in Västra Kalp, Skåne.
