Prelude,” “iii. Forlane,” “v. Minuet,” and “iv. Rigodon.” This performance includes orchestral arrangements by Kenneth Hesketh of the two movements—\"ii. Fugue\" and \"vi. Toccata\"—that Ravel omitted, presenting the pieces in the same order as the original piano work.\nHornist Markus Masknitti performs the solo in Ravel’s iconic “Pavane for a Dead Princess.” Masknitti is a highly accomplished musician who has won prizes at numerous competitions, including the 1994 Munich International Competition. Masknitti, who has served as a principal player with the Berlin Philharmonic, performs that incomparably beautiful melody.
