Bach into his Organ Concerto in D minor, BWV 596; this performance sounds as if one were listening to a positive organ, showcasing the quartet’s superb ensemble playing. Bach’s Chorale Prelude is similarly superbly arranged. Furthermore, in the “Sanctus” by the contemporary composer Maierling, the musicians interweave expressive vocal elements with intricate tonguing, creating a truly stimulating sound.
