This time it is No. 3. Sudbin's unwavering technique and sparkling touch are unforgettable. In Beethoven's Cadenza, he plays with superhuman technique and rich colors. The songfulness of the second movement is captivating, and the sharpness of the third movement is exhilarating. Sudobin's playing is very well matched by Vänskä's effective timpani and crisp interpretation with clear contours. The coupling is Mozart's No. 24. Sudobin has a wide repertoire, and Mozart is one of his favorite composers. In this piece, Sudobin performed his own cadenza.
