As a core member of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, he has been invited as a guest artist by period orchestras around the world—including Les Musiciens du Louvre, Le Cercle d’Harmonie, Le Concert Roland, Apollos Fire, Les Siècles, Pygmalion, Il Pomodoro, La Petite Bande, and other period orchestras around the world, solidifying his status as one of the world’s leading Baroque oboists. On this recording, he performs Classical-era chamber music on a rare instrument made around 1785 by Christophe Delusse, often referred to as the “Stradivarius of the oboe.” He treats listeners to a beautiful tone in works ranging from Mozart’s masterpieces to pieces that were frequently performed during the French Revolution. The pitch used is 418 Hz.
