Adam Skorn is probably the most tasteful organist on the planet, and watching him play is truly like watching a master at work.He is a veteran of the soul revival scene and has participated in many recording sessions since Daptone's inception, but has also learned from some of the legends of soul jazz, Melvin Sparks and the Turbanator himself, Dr. Lonnie Smith. Jimmy James needs no introduction to many, as he has performed all over the world with instrumental groups The True Loves and the Delvon Lamar Organ Trio. Perhaps the most dangerous right-hand man in all soul music, his signature funky approach is a feat most musicians could only dream of.Tim Carman, who has toured the world with blues group GA-20 and has experience, has expertise in the blues~shuffle world, steady, heavy pockets, and is funky as hell. Within the first ten minutes of everyone being together, the song \"West Memphis\" was written and recorded. And over the next three days, these three masters conducted a beautiful, soulful symphony and taped it verbatim, as natural and fun as three old friends getting together for the first time in ages, but this was the first time they had written and performed a piece together.
