Victor Bak studied with Christelle Sossac at the Conservatoire National de Lyon and with Laurent Blais in Berlin; he moved to London in 2019 to study with Edna Stern at the Royal College of Music. She has performed as a soloist in numerous halls in Europe, including with Mathieu Herzog (conductor) \u0026amp; the Appassionato Orchestra in 2023 and Paul Jenkins (conductor) \u0026amp; the Knighton Chamber Orchestra in 2022. He has won top prizes in numerous competitions, including first prize at the North International Music Competition in 2021, third prize (without first prize) at the Windsor International Piano Competition, and second prize at the International Music Competition Opus 2021. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Julius Isserlis Scholarship from the Royal Philharmonic Society.This first album couples works by Debussy and Chaminade, two great composers who embodied modernity and the Romantic tradition and contributed greatly to the recognition of French music in the early 20th century.
