Like his previous release \"Trio in Motion\" (SCD-2188), this album was recorded at a private studio in Alan Broadbent's New York home. Bassist Harvey S., who has been a friend of Broadbent's since his Berklee days and with whom he has played together for many years, participated in the recording, and also served as producer and recording engineer. Of course, the drummer is Billy Mintz, who used to play with the band when they were in LA.Three like-minded people of the same age give a superb performance. It is truly a \"Like Minds\" of like-mindedness. The album contains nine songs, including one original by Broadbent. Starting with Hank Mobley's well-known \"This I Dig of You,\" the album features works by Broadbent's beloved jazz giants, including Sonny Rollins' \"Airegin,\" Bud Powell's \"Blue Pearl,\" Charlie Parker's \"Yardbird Suite,\" and many more.
