The piano trio of Dutch pianist Yuray Stanik has won the hearts of piano trio fans in Japan, as his previous piano trio releases have been featured in Jazz Critique magazine's piano trio specials and in "Jazz's 500 Best New Piano Trios". Following two hit albums, this brand new sequel album features eight of Stanik's original compositions, with the exception of Jerome Kern's "Yesterdays" and Wayne Shorter's "Marie Antoinette," which is an original composition by Stanik, who studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and has a strong influence from classical music such as Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Bartok, Messiaen, etc. The album is a tribute to his close friend, pianist Ervin Rochlin, who passed away in 2020, with his words "If you make a new album you should call it a new album.
