The sudden death came at a time when Ron, who had based his activities in his hometown of Denver, was rapidly gaining attention, and Don Woz, president of Blue Note at the time, said, \"Ron was a talented artist. His kind-hearted and compassionate personality was reflected in every exquisite note he played. We are heartbroken to lose him so soon, but his spirit will live on forever through the music he left us.\" He offered his condolences.This is a recording of Ron's September 21, 2011 show at the Old Main Chapel venue in Boulder, Colorado, all takes of which are being released for the first time. The band was a trio with Bill Frisell and Brian Braid, who recorded Ron's album \"Quiver\" the day after this show.
