In the main requiem, Jaroussky's beautiful soprano solo \"Pied Jesu\" is a highlight, along with Guerne, who is considered one of the best vocalists of our time. Three more choral works are recorded with the Paris Philharmonic Chorus, including a particularly unusual work, \"By the Streams of Babylon,\" and the Elegy, featuring the principal cello of the Paris Philharmonic, Picard.
