Lara Melda Omeroglu was born in London in 1993 to parents of Turkish descent, and made her concerto debut at the age of eight, followed by her concerto debut at twelve, and in 2009 she reached the finals of the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in Weimar, Germany. In the 2010 BBC Young Musicians finals, she performed Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2 with Vasily Petrenko \u0026amp; the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and made her talent known to the world.She continued her studies at the Royal College of Music, graduating cum laude in 2016, and has continued to build a successful career with her Wigmore Hall debut in 2017 and BBC Proms \u0026amp; Royal Albert Hall debut in 2018.
