Tom Skinner releases his first solo album!

Tom Skinner is both a drummer and a producer.
He is a member of and for his work with Sons of Kemet—the band led by London-based tenor saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, considered one of the pinnacles of UK jazz—this prodigious talent has released his first album under the name Tom Skinner, *Voices of Bishara*, via Brownswood Recordings.
This album began when Tom Skinner invited his musician friends to a session at Brilliant Corners in London.
These regular events follow a simple format: a classical piece is played in its entirety, and the musicians respond with improvisation. That particular night focused on the 1964 album *LifeTime* by drummer Tony Williams, and the album is based on the sound material created there.
The project then moved into the studio recording phase and gradually took shape as an album, resulting in a tight, hypnotic, and truly unique sound.
The result is a work that proves he is one of the greatest drummers of our time, praised by artists ranging from Thom Yorke to Johnny Greenwood and Grace Jones.

Tracklisting:

1.Bishara
2.Red 2
3.The Journey
4.The Day After Tomorrow
5.Voices (of the Past)
6.Quiet as it's kept
