This is the ultimate 2-CD set of 40 songs that bring together the voices and melodies that you have heard somewhere before. DISC 1 is the "With Combo" version. DISC 1 is the "With Combo" section, which includes tracks sung by combo groups such as solo singers, piano trios, and quartets.Helen Merrill's "You'll Be So Nice to Come Home to", which was aired in commercials in Japan in the 80's and quickly gained recognition among the younger generation, Chris Connor's classic "Lullaby of Birdland", Ella Fitzgerald's entertaining live performance of "Mack the Knife," Nina Simone's vocal version of "I Loves You Bogie," one of the greatest jazz songs of all time, and "Cry Me a River," featuring Julie London's bewitching voice, are all classics. From the classic tracks such as "Singin' in the Rain" by Toni Harper, "But Not for Me" by European diva Rita Rice, and "Spring is Here" by Milli Vernon, a favorite of the late Kuniko Mukoda, many female singers have been selected as "one song you should listen to first.
