As if foreshadowing Orpheus’s tragic death, the instrumental ensemble envelops the voice as it sings—almost in a whisper, as if speaking directly to the listener. The different times and worlds that unfold here are reminiscent of Berio’s *Sequenza*. Since he is a well-known composer with few recordings available, this album is a welcome treat for fans.
