With her long-awaited debut album \"SANTHOSAM\", which focuses on her inner journey to find happiness, Priya aims for even greater musical heights. Priya Ragu is a Tamil-Swiss artist born and raised in Switzerland by parents who fled the Sri Lankan Civil War. Her \"Raguwavy\" sound, a bold fusion of R\u0026amp;B-based, earthy, ennui, soulful vocals, hip-swaying dance beats, tabla rhythms, and Tamil melodies, has garnered her acclaim in the UK media, including the NME and the Telegraph. Her sound is a bold fusion of dance beats, tabla rhythms, and Tamil melodies that will make you sway your hips. She is now releasing her long-awaited debut album \"SANTHOSAM\".Like \"damnshestamil,\" the album, which means \"happiness\" in Tamil, was produced in collaboration with her brother and producer Japhna, and is a bolder evolution of their sound, a vivid fusion of Tamil and Western elements. The album's gorgeous, eclectic musical textures, imposing disco sound, urgent political themes, and Priya's positive spirit blend in a magical way to take her \"Raguwavy\" sound to new heights.
