For each work, not only were autograph scores—clearly attributable to Reicha—preserved, but also the parts used for performance (which were hand-copied scores). In recording the work for nine instruments included here, the performers were able to use early 19th-century instruments and record in a salon with excellent acoustics and a truly Parisian atmosphere.
