Turina was also interested in photography as well as painting, and his estate included works by the Sevillian photographer Emilio Beauch Cano [1847-1928] (who also made photographic reproductions of his father's paintings).\n\n\n\nInfluence of realistic art and photography of folk customs\n\nInitially inspired by the impressionistic approach of his studies in Paris, Turina eventually switched from a French orientation to a Spanish one as he interacted with Albéniz [1860-1909] and Falla [1876-1946], studied Andalusian folk music, and began to work on music inspired by folkloric material.
