Abel's father, Christian Friedrich, had a professional and private relationship with J.S. Bach, and after Christian's death, Karl was left in the care of the Bach family. There, he learned improvisation techniques from the great Bach. He later became friends with Johann Christian Bach, with whom he composed the sonatas on this disc. Although relatively simple, this is music in which Abel's abundant talents are infused into the melody. It seems that he sometimes improvised ornamental sounds while playing, adding a touch of decorative color to the recording. Theorbo is also used, which is impressive not only for its rarity, but also for its suitable sound for the atmosphere of the viola da gamba. The wide leaps, lively bowing, and intricate fingerings make for a collection of music with much to discover.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Brilliant Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47853187006753,"sku":"5028421965659","price":2090.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5028421965659.jpg?v=1705475297","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/5028421965659","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
