The Australian melodic/symphonic rock band formed by Sean Timms (key/voice/sax), a member of UNITOPIA, has released a new album in '23. The band is led by Cam Blokland (g), a talented player who has played with Sean and Guthrie Govan, as well as Shaun Lopresto, who has replaced Danny Lopresto as frontman for his progressive rock project band: PROJECTED TWIN/EARTH MEET WORLD. This album was produced with Shaun Holton, the vocalist of his own progressive rock project band: PROJECTED TWIN/EARTH MEET WORLD, as the new vocalist, replacing Danny Lopresto.The result of the five-year gap between the last album and this one, or perhaps due to the change of members, is a refined technical performance that could only come from a 21st century band that has passed through the metal sound, and a dramatic musicality filled with feedback from the good old progressive rock sound. The song can be called a song that skillfully incorporates the prog-metal flavor into MOON SAFARI, with a catchy melody that uses beautiful chorus work, and a fast and exhilarating feeling created by the exchanges between the musicianship backed by solid technique. The hard symphonic rock number 'Reaching Out', and 'Hold On To Me', which has a great development from a sentimental verse with detailed decorations to a moving chorus with a magnificent movement of the band, are also lead tracks that show the richness of the band's ideas, dynamism and lyricism. The songs are of high quality no matter where you listen to them, as can be heard in the lead track 'Hold On To Me', which moves the listener's heart with its dynamism and lyrical push and pull under a wealth of ideas. This is a masterpiece that is highly recommended not only for symphonic rock, but also for fans of melodic hard rock and prog metal!
