The band debuted in 1975 with the album \"Pampered Menial\" and toured extensively but failed to achieve commercial success. The band began work on a new album as soon as possible. However, when the violinist and drummer left the band, guest players Bill Bruford, former drummer for Yes and King Crimson, and Andy McKay, saxophone player for Roxy Music, joined the band. The following year, 1976, \"At The Sound Of The Bell\" was released.The band went on a tour to promote the album with new drummer Kirk Sarkisian, and the concert in Detroit, Michigan on May 14 of the same year was recorded and broadcast for radio promotion.
