The heavy metal/hard rock movement, which expanded as a worldwide music movement in the early 1980s, was revitalized in Scandinavia, which was said to be a barren land for this type of music. In 1983, the band released the album "Europe", which was a hit not only in their home country of Sweden but also in Japan, and they became a new hard rock band. Their mega-hit album "The Final Countdown" was released in 1986, and became their first worldwide release. The album reached No. 8 on the U.S. album charts and became a triple platinum album, and the album's title number, 'The Final Countdown', reached No. 1 in 25 countries. In conjunction with the album's release, the band will embark on its first world tour in Europe, performing 101 shows from Japan to Europe to the U.S. to Europe.The London show on February 23, 1987 was recorded and broadcast for a promotional TV/radio program, and the complete setlist of the day is included in this release, with the exception of the drum solo.
