Madness, the beloved British working class band, announced their breakup in 1986, but the original lineup of seven came together again to make 1999's "Wonderful", which is now back on heavy analog vinyl! The band's pop lyrics are irresistibly catchy, the ska beat is irresistible, and the band's British-inspired fashion, working-class appearance, sarcastic and humorous music videos, and comical stage antics have won the hearts of their fans for many years. Their music videos are full of sarcasm and humor, and their comical stage action has won the hearts of their fans for many years. It is widely known that "In The City" was used in a Honda City commercial in 1981, which made them instantly popular here in Japan. In their home country of the U.K., they have sent 15 singles to the top 10 in the U.K., including "Our House," which reached No. 7 in the U.S. charts. They performed "Our House" on the roof of Buckingham Palace in 2012 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne, and have become a well-known band among the British public. The band has become a familiar presence as a national folk band in the U.K. In its long history, Madness announced its breakup in 1986. However, in 1992, the seven original members announced that they would reunite for a concert. After a huge crowd at "Madstock!" held in Finsbury Park, London in August of the same year, the band resumed its activities, mainly touring.The first studio album since the reunion was 1999's WONDERFUL, the first album from the original lineup since 1984's KEEP MOVING, also produced by the original production team of Clive Langer & Alan Winstanley, and recorded at West Side Studios in London.
