The program is packed with pieces that allow you to fully appreciate the charm of these two artists. Please enjoy a rich ensemble performance that will keep you captivated from start to finish.\n\nMayu Izumi (Flute)\nGraduated at the top of her class from Toho Gakuen University. Completed the university’s graduate program and the Toho Orchestra Academy. Won first prize in the solo division of the 13th Japan Flute Convention Competition and the Masao Yoshida Award. Placed second in the 21st Japan Woodwind Competition. Has received numerous other awards. She released the solo album “Memories of the Path ~Les SENTIERS~” and held commemorative recitals in Tokyo, Osaka, Kochi, and Paris. She participated in the Nippon Columbia Opus One series “The Pierrot Possessed by the Moon.” Since 2008, she has been a member of the composer group OTO’s “Chamber Music OTO” and continues to premiere new works. In 2019, he was appointed Guest Principal Player of the Ryukyu Philharmonic Orchestra. He serves as a lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and Toho University of Music. He was named the 9th Kawasaki Industry Goodwill Ambassador.\n\nGen Matsuda (Guitar)\nBorn in Kochi Prefecture. Began playing classical guitar at age 16. After graduating from Waseda University, he studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory of Music in France and further honed his skills in Austria, Italy, and Spain. He completed a Master’s degree program at the University of Alicante (Spain). He has studied under Takayuki Matsui, Noboru Muraji, Tomonori Arai, Yasunori Imamura, Alexis Mouzlakis, and others. He has won first prize in eight competitions in Japan and abroad, including first prize at the 2009 Tokyo International Guitar Competition and first prize at the 2013 Antony International Guitar Competition (France), where he also won the Set Piece Prize and the Audience Prize.
