Tatsuro Nishie is a violinist whose popularity is skyrocketing; he became concertmaster of the Sendai Philharmonic at the young age of 24 and currently serves as concertmaster of the New Japan Philharmonic. His activities span solo performances, chamber music, and concertos. Meanwhile, the Italian prodigy Giuseppe Andarolo burst onto the scene after winning the 1st Sendai International Competition and the 2002 London International Competition, and went on to win the Busoni International Piano Competition in 2005.
