SNORAS The sound of trial and error and ingenuity before the flood of information as in the modern age. All the preparations are coming together. One of my favorite bands, Snoras, a Scandinavian Norwegian Screamo that was active in the 2000s, will release a Complete Discography CDBOX in August. The CD box set will include a Japanese translation of the lyrics to the masterpieces "Heart Of Weakness" and "Plague Waters," both of which have long been hard to find in Japan. I also really like the quality of the lyrics.The Screamo scene in the 2000s was diverse, with unique bands from all over the world. The 2000s may have been a time of trial and error.The Screamo bands of the 2000s are now being reevaluated in the 2020s, and I think that the current reevaluation of the Screamo bands is a sign of the trial-and-error process in an age when there are no answers in the Internet. What I see in the current trend of reevaluation is the traces of trial and error in an age when there are no answers in the Internet, and the identity that must be faced in the process of straggle is imbedded in the expression. That is probably what is important for the current era.Snoras from Norway burst onto the scene in 2006 with the release of their first album, "Heart Of Weakness. Even though many Screamo bands were appearing simultaneously around the world, Snoras' chaotic yet sorrowful expression was highly acclaimed by Japanese listeners. However, it may have been a little while after its release before I was able to actually listen to the CD. Many bands have some kind of information before they release an album, such as a split or an EP, but with Snoras, there was no such information, and I had the impression that they were a mysterious band.And I was astonished to learn that the sound of what I thought was the band was almost entirely created by Yngve Hilmo alone. It is insane. However, I was also convinced that this is the reason why the band has a unified expression throughout. (1/2)
