Sam Gendel and Shin Sasakubo, who also performed together on the 2021 album "CHICHIBU" and showed a high degree of compatibility, have expanded their respective worldviews on the reissued CD album "SAM GENDEL & SHIN SASAKUBO" under their twin names. The album is a dialogue of inner souls that only these two musicians, who are committed to their roots in faraway lands, could have created! Whenever I listen to this album, I am reminded of Sam Gendel's words, "You can treat the reverb like an instrument that changes with the music. He makes the presence of the body disappear, leaving only the sound of the saxophone. What is there is not the city of L.A., but a sound closely connected to the individual space that has been nurtured locally. That is why it resonates with Shin Sasakubo's guitar.
