The borderless duo "NOU", a unit of the rare pianist Chihiro Owada, who instantly projects even flashes of light into improvisational expression, and Mitsuru Nasuno, who constructs a unique sense of color with his electric bass, have started a new unit to explore a new deep and tranquil sound world. Mitsuru Saigo (storyteller), musician Nasuno Mitsuru leads "Altered States" and the dark rock triangle "Mugamichiru," both of which have been going on for over 25 years, in his quest for a unique spatial and visual sonic beauty in which spirituality, musicality, and performance ability are all fused into a single form. In May 2022, the two started a session to explore a new deep and tranquil sound world as a unit. The borderless duo "NOU" made its debut in May 2022.It is no accident that the unit name "NOU," which is based on initials, presents the meaning "for you" (in Hawaiian). The music reveals the deep and inseparable connection that lies at the root of our humanity.
