The original masters were DSD-edited from the original analog master tapes in their home country for the 2016 commercial SA-CD single-layer release, and were newly engineered and mastered at Emil Berliner Studios in Germany in 2025. The master was selected based on comparisons with previous recordings and the current condition of the original recording in Japan, and the master directly converted to DSD in 2016 in Japan was judged to be the best. In this recording, the last track of Act 2, which was previously split at the beginning of DISC2, was moved to DISC1, and DISC1 contains all of Act 1 and Act 2, while DISC2 contains Act 3.This is the first opera in our \"Vintage SA-CD Collection\" project to include a bilingual lyrics translation. For this reason, this 2-CD set is specially priced (total of 96 pages in the commentary). The commentary includes a new preface by Daisuke Hirose, and the commentary by Kyoichi Kuroda and Mamoru Watanabe from the first domestic LP release in 1973 have been re-published.\n\n\n\nAlthough more than 50 years have already passed, this recording is still highly regarded as one of the definitive recordings of \"The Magic Bullet Shooter\".
