The band stopped performing after the death of vocalist Shinji Sato in 1999, but restarted in 2005 at the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL. The band has been performing live intermittently with guest vocalists in addition to Kinichi Mogi on drums as the main vocalist. The film "Fishmans" was produced through crowdfunding at the initiative of the people involved in the film. The film is a documentary film featuring interviews with past members and related parties, rare footage from those days, and rehearsal and live performance footage from 2019. The film was released at the Corona Disaster Center, but was well received by word of mouth, and was distributed nationwide, drawing over 15,000 viewers and ranking first in mini theaters.History Of Fishmans" is a film that follows the band's trajectory through sound, in the same way that "The Movie: Fishmans" is a film that follows the band's trajectory through images.
