Description:

[To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of modern jazz guitarist Tull Furlow (born June 7, 1921), whose overwhelming technique and sense of style have won him many fans, this UHQCD collection features all of his albums from the 1950s, when he was at the height of his popularity. Original LP liner notes in English with Japanese translation. New mini-commentary included. The first recording in a year and ten months, the final session of the Verve. After this, Tull went away from the jazz world for a while, and the two-day session was released as two albums (the other one is "Play the Music of Harold Arlen"). On this album, depending on the song, the Belgian flutist Bobby Jasper and Frank Wess, the famous reed player of the Basie Orchestra, participate. The tasteful performance has an intimate atmosphere. This is the world's first CD release in the original format. Tal Farlow (g), Benny Powell (tb), Bobby Jasper (fl, ts), Frank Wess (fl, as, ts), Charlie Folks (bs), Dick Hyman (p), Milt Hinton, Joe Benjamin (b), Ossie Johnson (ds)
