Mutter, one of the finest violinists of our time and a passionate explorer of new repertoire, is very close to Penderecki and has commissioned and premiered many of his works. La Follia", Concerto Duet, and Violin Sonata No. 2 were commissioned by Mutter, and all the works included here are dedicated to him.
