Kaiji Ito (Kaiji Ito) has been living on the run after losing a fight with the Teiai Group at the Starlight Hotel, and his debts have finally ballooned to about 10 million yen. Kaiji approaches Endo, the president of a financial company and a yakuza, and tries to get him to introduce him to a new gambling game. However, this does not materialize, and he is eventually sent to the Teiai Group's forced labor facility deep underground. When Kaiji manages to return to the surface, he makes the acquaintance of former general contractor site supervisor Sakazaki Kotaro, who introduces him to a high-rate backroom casino run by Teiai, where Kaiji aims to get rich on the "swamp," a pachinko game that costs 4,000 yen per ball...
