From 1998 to 2004, he studied under Itzhak Rashkovsky at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and since 2004, he has continued his studies under Shlomo Mintz. He has performed with major orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic, and the Royal Philharmonic, collaborating with maestros including Charles Dutoit, Edward Gardner, Zubin Mehta, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Roger Norrington. To date, he has released a collection of violin works (SIGCD652) on Signum with the virtuoso Itamar Golan, and has also released well-received albums on Warner and Sony.\nThis album, his second release on Signum, features Beethoven’s Violin Concertos. The conductor is Oleg Kaetani, whose father was Igor Markevich; he won the Karajan Conducting Competition, served as Music Director of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and has frequently visited Japan as a guest conductor for the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles—making him well-known to Japanese fans—conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra.
