That same December, he won first prize by unanimous decision at the Sydney International Tuba Competition. In 1996, he also took first prize at the Markneukirchen International Competition. After stints with the Lyon National Opera Orchestra and the Toulouse City Orchestra, he currently serves as principal tuba of the Orchestre de Paris and, as an educator, is dedicated to mentoring the next generation at the National Conservatory of Music in Lyon.\nIn addition to Dufay himself, musicians from the Orchestre de Paris and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France participated in the recording of this album.
