Krampanis' \"Ariadne's Duality,\" based on the mythological Ariadne, incorporates Greek folk songs and jazz, often using the guitar as a percussion instrument. Tsarafouris's \"Haiku\" is a suite with songs. The composer's own haiku in Greek are used to create a condensed world within the short piece. The work by Maroulis, featuring heroes from Greek mythology, uses an avant-garde approach to depict heroes defying their fate with guitar and strings. Antoninou's \"Homage,\" placed last, is dedicated to the memory of Manos Hadjidakis, a Greek national composer who passed away in 1994. It was composed for the 30th Athens Guitar Festival.
