The 19th century composer Ignaz Lachner inherited this idea. He arranged Mozart's Piano Concertos No. 16 through No. 26 into chamber music versions with string quintet accompaniment, including a double bass. Even in the later works, where the woodwinds are more present, Lachner skillfully transfers the melody to the strings, leaving the piano part untouched in this small arrangement. The No. 22 recorded here also originally featured innovative instrumentation, including the introduction of the clarinet, and is an arrangement that makes full use of Lachner's skill. The introspective melody of the second movement in variation form and the lively rondo finale are also attractive masterpieces, and the cadenza is by Goldstein himself. No. 18, on the other hand, is said to have been composed for the blind pianist Maria Theresia von Paradis, and is characterized by its relatively simple technique and familiar melody.\n\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51647425118497,"sku":"4945604746939","price":2390.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4945604746939.jpg?v=1756800762","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4945604746939","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
